Senator Joseph A. Griffo Presents NYS Senate Empire Award to Golden Artist Colors

We are honored to share that on December 4, 2023, Senator Joseph A. Griffo, 53^rd Senate District, visited Golden Artist Colors to present the New York State Senate Empire Award in recognition of the company’s outstanding contributions and dedication to the growth, prosperity, and betterment of their community and New York State. The New York State Senate Empire Award is the Senate’s highest honor for small businesses, and is presented periodically to local businesses who exemplify a dedication not only to their customers and employees, but to their communities and New York State at large.

Senator Griffo has been a long-time supporter of small businesses, noting that “small businesses and farms have long been the backbone of our local economies” throughout New York State. Because of this, Senator Griffo has often been at the forefront of advocacy for small business rights as well as programs to encourage small businesses to remain within New York State. GOLDEN is honored to have been chosen by Senator Griffo for this prestigious award and recognition for their own dedication and contribution to the small business industry and greater Chenango County community. 

CEO Mark Golden and COO & President Barbara Schindler welcomed Senator Griffo to the GOLDEN facility on Tuesday to receive this honor. “We were delighted to receive the NYS Senate Empire Award from State Senator Griffo,” states Golden, “We are so fortunate to be in an area with dedicated, talented employees and the many wonderful businesses that are making a difference for our local communities.” Schindler added, “Representing the employee owners of GOLDEN, we are honored that Senator Griffo recognized us and our commitment to our community.”
